Setting up a Custom Domain with Cloudflare

Learn how to setup a Custom Domain with Cloudflare.

These are Cloudflare specific instructions for Setting up a CNAME Record for your Venues Booking Engine

Cloudflare requires an alternate domain verification process to function with iVvy.

Setup in Cloudflare

  1. In your Cloudflare website, navigate to the DNS configuration page.
  2. Add a record with type CNAME.
  3. Enter your desired domain name.
  4. Set content to: “ihs.ivvy.com”
  5. Proxy status: Proxied
  6. TTL: Auto
  7. Save the record.

Setup in iVvy

  1. Navigate to Global settings > General > Custom Domains.
  2. Add Custom Domain > Enter the domain name configured earlier.
  3. Click CSR > Create New >Complete your domain details.
  4. Click CSR > Download.

Create Certificate in Cloudflare

  1. Navigate to Website Configuration > SSL/TLS > Origin Server
  2. Click Create Certificate.
  3. Select 'Use my private key and CSR'
  4. Insert downloaded certificate into CSR field.
  5. Click Create.
  6. Copy the certificate text.

Upload Certificate in iVvy

  1. Navigate to Global settings > General > Custom Domains.
  2. Select the domain added earlier.
  3. Click Certificate > Upload New.
  4. Paste certificate text.
  5. If the certificate is valid, “Supports SSL” will update to “Yes”.
  6. You may now assign the domain to your Event or Venue Website.

Website Update in Cloudflare

  1. Set SSL/TLS encryption mode to “Full (Strict)”.

 

Test your Event/ Venue Website

If you receive a certificate error from Cloudflare, please wait for the iVvy service to cache the new certificate and try again. This may take up to 30 minutes in some cases.
