Defining Event Types for your Account

Learn how to create custom Event Types in your account.

Setting up the event types assists you to forecast the main types of events that your venue hosts. The event types can be reported on to give you demographic data on how many types of events that you are doing over a period of time of interest.

Event types are Global, and are used across all venues in your iVvy account (they can be personalised but will be seen by all venues).  

To Define Event Types for your Account/Venue;
  1. Navigate to the Global Settings  > Venues > Event Types
  2. Click 'Add Event Type'.
  3. Complete the following: 
    • Name- Enter Event Type
    • Contact Type- Can this style of event be assigned to a contact, a company or both a contact and company?
    • Is Viewable On The Marketplace- Yes/No Select if you want this event type to be used for your online booking form.
    • Category-  All event types must fall within one of the following main categories Event, Meeting, Conference or Wedding.
  4. Click 'Save'.

  • Delete- Allow you to delete an existing event type.
