      Booking Rules

      Learn how to setup your availability rules for your Marketplace and Booking Engine form.

      Booking Rules dictate whether an enquiry from your Marketplace or Booking Engine form accepts live bookings or pushes the enquiry as a request for proposal. 

      Three rules that you can apply are: 

      1. RFP Only- The booking form will only allow a customer to request a proposal.
      2. Not Available- The venue will be shown as unavailable.
      3. RFP Rules- You can set the rules below to take live bookings, but force a request for proposal if the following conditions are met:
        • When it is less than x days to the event.
          For example - If you set this as 7 days, any booking that is for a date in the next 7 days will not be able to be booked live and will force an RFP. If the booking is greater than 7 days, the event can be booked.
        • When it is more than X days to the event.
          For example if you set this at 90 days, any enquiry that is greater than 90 days away will force an RFP.
        • When the estimated value of the booking is more than $x
          Based on the values set in the Default Opportunity Rules, the booking form will force an RFP if the booking value is too high. The purpose of this is to allow your smaller functions to be live booked, and allow your sales team to work with an enquiry of a larger value.

      To add in RFP Rules for your online bookings navigate to Setup > Online Bookings > Booking Rules > Select 'Add Rule'  and complete the following:

      • Give the rule a Name and a description and nominate whether it is default (The default rule will be valid for your Marketplace and Booking Form. You can only have one rule set as default)
      • Click on the 'Availability' tab
      • Click 'Add' to set availability for a date period
      • Add in start date and end date that these rules apply to.
      • Select how the venue will be available for this time period: referring to the above information.

      Once complete click 'Save'.
